Crizal Saphire UV Lenses at Benjamin Opticians

Crizal Sapphire UV

With Crizal Sapphire UV your lenses deliver best in class transparency for optimal vision and aesthetics. Translation – your spectacle lenses will have fewer reflections.

Wherever you are, indoors or outside, light interacts with your spectacle lenses at all angles. This can lead to bothersome reflections, which can be a source of discomfort and impact your everyday life. Crizal Sapphire UV reduces reflections from all directions and protects your eyes from UVA and UVB rays. You will notice less distracting glare when looking through your lenses and will experience enhanced lens aesthetics so that your spectacles lenses look invisible to others.

Crizal Prevencia

All Crizal lenses offer great UV protection and against the enemies of clear vision. The very latest lens – Provencia also offers blue light protection as well. Harmful blue-violet light was recently identified as being harmful to retinal cells. Causing long-term damage to our eyes, it can accelerate the onset of age related Macular Degeneration (AMD).

Blue light and UV are present everywhere. Outdoors: Whatever the weather UV and blue-violet light is present (sunny, cloudy, rainy, etc.) Indoors: Wherever the place blue-violet light is transmitted by low energy light bulbs and most modern digital devices, including tablets, smartphones and computers.

Prevencia is the most effective clear lens at selective light filtering

  • Offers protection from harmful light: UV and harmful blue-violet light.
Lets the good light through, including essential blue-turquoise light – the ‘feel good’ light.
  • Helps prevent premature eye ageing, reduces the risk of cataracts and AMD.

Prevention against blue-violet light is recommended for everyone. At Benjamin’s we recommend Prevencia to all our patients.
