The most advanced eye examination

Benjamin Opticians now offer the most advanced eye examination that has revolutionised the way we check your sight.

The eye examination as we knew it has changed for ever thanks to revolutionary technology which we have installed in every test room.  Previously your examination measured eyes to 0.25D (the power of your eye) – and that’s the way it has been for over a century.  However recent research has shown that the human in in almost all of us (95%) are far more sensitive than that and would see the benefit of a more accurate prescription.

Introducing AVA – Advanced Vision Accuracy, measuring your eyesight to 0.01D

A new way of examining your eyes

This breakthrough in technology allows us to carry out far more accurate eye examinations than has ever been possible before.

No two patients are exactly the same and our AVA system has an almost infinite number of combinations of prescription.

This highly accurate and simpler way of measuring means your prescription will no longer be rounded up or down – it will be accurate.  For example you may previously have had a presription of -4.50D.  That may now be -4.39D or -4.62D – far more accurate!

Not all patients can have an AVA sight test or digital refraction – or some it is not practical.  If this is the case we will carry out your eye examination in the traditional way.

See the world more clearly

Following your super accurate eye examination our new technology allows you to experience the difference new AVA lenses will make to your vision.
