The team at Benjamin Opticians are commited to helping our local community and getting involved with local events. There are a wide range of activities we undertake:
Careers evenings – encouraging youngsters into the world of optics; Supporting charities, through fundraising efforts; working with Vision Aid Overseas and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

A true recognition of the hard work that went into expanding the practice in 2018, the category acknowledges the growth and success the team at Benjamin’s have put into creating a newly expanded building, with many additional services and excellent customer service..
Skipton Business Awards
Category Winner – Best Healthcare Business
It was a night to remember as businesses from all over Skipton came together to celebrate success in the annual Skipton Business Awards. Organised by the Chamber of Trade, the glitzy ceremony held at the Rendezvous Hotel, recognised the efforts of businesses and Benjamin Opticians won one of the coveted awards. Young Contact Lens Optician of the Year – Eleanor Hill
We are very pleased to announce that Eleanor Hill is Young Contact Lens Optician of the Year 2019. Eleanor has always wanted to be an optician, since being inspired by now retired partner David Benjamin and starting at Benjamins as a Saturday Girl. She went through extensive training at ABDO college to become a qualified Dispensing Optician – at the time, the youngest in the country ever. Eleanor continued her studies whilst practicing and became a qualified Contact Lens Optician. She truly deserves this accolade and our team are very proud of her for this achievement.
