Optifog – your questions answered

What creates fog?

FOG OR STEAMING UP DEPENDS ON DIFFERENT FACTORS:

The temperature difference between the two environments
Relative humidity in the hot environment entered by the spectacle wearer
Time of exposure allowing the lenses to adopt to the temperature

When do the anti-fog properties might need to be re-activated?

Most water based liquids remove the molecules of the Optifog Activator Cloth.  Heavy rain may remove it as well.  If you notice your lenses is not fog repellent enough: Simply reactivate it with the Optifog Activator Cloth.

What are the other benefits of Crizal UV with Optifog?

Fog repellence, dust repellence, smudge resistance, scratch resistance and anti reflective efficiency.

How does the Optifog process work?

Fog is made of many tiny water droplets.  Thanks to Optifog lenses properties, they will perfectly spread on the lens surface.  They will create a uniform film of water, invisible to the wearer.

How does the Optifog Activator Cloth work on other lenses?

Won’t be as efficient in terms of fog prevention and it won’t be as durable.

Can I choose optifog with my favourite lenses?

Yes, optofog is compatible with the our best ever lenses, Varilux X series, E Series and Eyezen.

Join the people who really love Optifog

“I tried them when opening the oven and the dishwasher and they work great.  Absolutely no fogging. Really, really good – I definitely recommend them.”

Elizabeth Yeowart, One of our Optometrists, who wears Optifog at home.

“A very smart idea and product.”

“I am amazed by the result, I wasn’t bothered by fog once.”

“I especially liked how easy it is to use the cloth that replaced my usual cloth.”

“When I play tennis it’s important to be able to see the ball without having to stop the match to clean
my glasses.”

“I find it dangerous when I cook and move around with boiling liquids.”

“Since I often ride a motorcycle, it’s very important that I see clearly so that I don’t have an
accident.”

As soon as I put them on, I was amazed at how good they were. One of the main benefits is the ease of viewing a wide-screen computer monitor, but all round they really are good and I got used to them in no time at all.
