Benjamin Opticians has been providing renowned eye care services to the local community in Skipton, Craven and the Yorkshire Dales for over 70 years.
Benjamin’s is an independent optometrist and contact Lens practitioner based in Skipton, headed up by practice owner Liz Ellis, who has over 30 years experience in vision care.

Meet The Team
Liz’s professional colleagues are Optometrists Hannah Cutler, Elizabeth Yeowart, Caroline Chambers, Chris Davey, Naila Rehman and Joy Dunn; Contact Lens Optician Tim Armitage and Dispensing Opticians Izzy Booth, James Brown and Nicola Brayshaw.
All our professional staff are fully qualified eye care practitioners registered with the General Optical Council. We are pleased to be encouraging new people into our profession and shortly to qualify is Dispensing Optician Niamh Leigh and trainee Beatrice Lewis-Gillett, who is the newest member of our team.
Overseeing all aspects of the practice is Practice Manager Julian Hotchkiss. Supporting our qualified team and helping to deliver a high standard of service are reception staff, Julie, Karen, Susan and Christine, Practice Administrator Julie Robinson and Reception Manager Nicky Eyles.
